Review: Web 2.0 is scary to most people. It is new, exciting, confusing and more. This book will help you wade through all of that and begin to understand the meaning of Web 2.0 and where it can take you in the future.

I want to start my own online business but have no idea where to begin. I started checking around and found that where I needed to look was in the future. That’s how I came across this book. Boy was I happy.

It starts out with a history of the web. Tells you in very basic terms how it started and what it is all about. This was wonderful for me, as I knew very little about the details of it.

Then the book tells you about the technical side of it. Here’s where it gets a little dicey but with the way this book is written you will have no problem understanding it. For instance it talks about blogs. We all know what those are right? Well in this book it tell you how to take your blog and use it to your best advantage on Web 2.0. It helps you to understand how you can use it in your business.

By using common sense throughout the book I was able to follow it, understand it and use it. It is a wonderful place to start if you want to learn about RSS, CSS, XML ect. are and how you can use them in your line of work.

Not only does this book show you where we’ve been, what we’ve come to but also where we will be going in the future. I would recommend this book to anyone who is starting out with a new online business.

Criticism: The only downfall I see with this book is that it is basically for beginner. If you know what Web 2.0 is and what it is all about it will be pretty boring. I would also suggest that once you have read this book and know what it is all about to look for a more advanced book on the subject.
