Scrap Venture Pro member Barbara Ryan has some exciting news. Barbara has been making money from her hobby at Cherish Collages. She started offering her digital collage skills to other people and is now teaching others how to make money from this craft here DIY Collages.

Here’s what Barbara said after only being a member for one month…

Barbara has made huge strides since that first post I made about her. She now has some new information that I asked if I could share with you.

Barbara says today….

“I joined Scrap Venture Pro the very first month because I hoped it would be a great resource for my existing business and to help me expand into the scrapbooking side of things.

I had been running a home business custom designing photo collages for a few years and now wanted to add to it and knew that it needed to have something to do with scrapbooking, keeping it related to what I was already doing, preserving memories through photographs, but I didn’t really know exactly what it would be.

I initally thought about Scrap-For-Hire, and Scrap Venture Pro is filled with information on that type of business and I felt prepared to start, but something held me back.I was looking for inspiration and read through all the materials several times over the course of a few months.

It finally dawned on me, at the end of December, after scouring the site, I wanted to incorporate digital scrapbooking, but the design side. I wanted to design digital scrapbooking products.

I immersed myself in the digi-scrap world, joining forums and finding out how things work. I joined a few Creative Teams, designing layouts for other designers to promote them and now, after only 3 months, I am selling my own products as a Digital Designer.

It happened more quickly than I expected, and I know it’s because I felt prepared with all the information I had from ScrapVenture.

I even have made all my products scrap-for-hire friendly as I know there is a big market for that business.

Scrap Venture Pro, to me, is all the internet marketing, business, social networking, etc… information you need to run a business, compacted into one place and customized to the business of creating memories.

There is a lot of information out there and I studied it for years, but it’s very gereral. A little time studying information that was tailored to what I did was all it took to inspire me and figure out what I wanted to do.

I’m thrilled to be doing something I really enjoy, from home, and am really excited to grow my business even more this year.”

Now Barbara is not just taking “baby steps” she is launching into a completely new income stream. I am very thrilled that I could help her find her focus and the direction she needed to go to develop her business further.
